In 1952, Neil, Ben Poya and Mae Wong opened Wong's Cafe for business at 20 Third Street SW in Rochester because they likes the community, its people and potential for growth. As Rochester grew, so did Wong's Cafe, increasing seating from 40 to 150 in its original site. In 1982, ownership and operation of the restaurant was turned over to a second generation of the Wong family.
Our parents built a foundation for growth by emphasizing well-prepared food at reasonable prices with efficient, courteous service. We intend to continue their commitment to quality and hope that you, our valued customers, will honor us with your patronage at "our table".
Now we pass the Wong's tradition to Phala Nhean who is the new owner of Wong's at the new location and a past employee of 24 years as head chef.
